A stylish large antique wishbone and swallow brooch.
The brooch is modelled as a realistically styled wishbone with a swallow flying through the centre. The bird has beautifully textured feather details and the brooch comes with its original fitted case by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co London.
This elegant brooch would probably have been given as a lovers gift symbolising luck and everlasting love as swallows return each year and have long been associated with love with the wishbone associated with good luck.
It is in beautiful condition.
