Art Deco Jade Ring c.1930
A stylish Art Deco Jade ring.
This beautiful ring has a carved rectangular jade panel in a typically Art Deco wide four claw mount.
The jade is carved with a fruit and flower design and is a soft green in colour.
The ring has four rose cut diamonds set to each shoulder with a delicate milgrain edge.
Jade was a popular choice for Art Deco jewellery following Cartier's extensive use of the stone in the early 1920's.
The gemstone is revered in Chinese society where Confucius praised jade as a symbol of righteousness and knowledge. In Chinese culture Jade is customarily thought to influence health and prosperity, and ward off negative energy.
