Art Deco Pearl & Diamond Toi et Moi Ring c.1930
An elegant Art Deco pearl & diamond 2 stone ring.
This beautiful ring has an old cut diamond and a natural pearl in a classic twist design. The ring has diamonds set to the top of the band.
This type of ring with 2 stones on a twist is referred to as 'Toi et moi' a French term used for rings with two gems that sit side by side or close to each other, symbolising two souls becoming one.
This beautiful ring is a very simple and effective design and is low set to the hand. There is a grooved shank and the pearl appears to float on the hand. This ring may be French in origin as it has all the characteristics and finesse of a French ring from this period.
Pearl rings are not particularily suitable for heavy wear as pearls are by their very nature soft and prone to damage if heavily worn.
