An elegant Art Deco sapphire & diamond ring.
This beautiful French hand made ring has a deep blue oval sapphire to the centre within a border of diamonds forming a stylised geometric cluster. This central cluster has an outer calibre sapphire border to the top and bottom.
The diamonds are all finely milgrain set with a beautiful handmade scrollwork underbezel. The ring has tapered shoulders onto a plain whte gold shank and is very low set to the hand.
This ring would have been designed to be worn originally as a cocktail ring. The sapphire is a beautiful colour - probably Sri Lankan in origin.
Era: Art Deco, c. 1925 - 1940
