Victorian 18ct Gold Guard Chain c.1900
A fabulous late Victorian gold long guard chain.
This unusual chain is comprised of a textured open box link in (unmarked) 18ct yellow gold.
It has a (later?) large 15ct gold Albert swivel. It is the wonderful weight and length and can be worn long or doubled up.
These long chains are always such a versatile and wearable addition to any jewellery collection.
The chain is in super condition and is perfect for layering.
The chain is possibly by a marker called McKay & Chisolm who were known for this type of link at the end of the 19th Century.
