A lovely pair of Edwardian amethyst and pearl drop earrings.
These elegant earrings are each set with a pear shaped amethyst in a rubover setting with a milgrain edge, suspended below a fine bar which is set with a pearl to the centre, surmounted by a round amethyst in rubover setting with a milgrain edge.
Each section is articulated so they move freely when worn.
The earrings have long hook fittings for pierced ears. They are finely made and the amethysts are open to the reverse.
Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920
