Edwardian Graduated Pearls Diamond clasp c.1915
A beautiful row of graduated cultured (Akoya) pearls with a diamond clasp.
The necklace is strung with an Edwardian oval diamond set clasp typical of the era.
The clasp has a hook style tounge which also acts as a safety device. The pearls are a pretty ivory colour and have a beautiful lustre. The necklace has been restrung and knotted onto silk thread.
Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920
Measurements: Pearls 3.5-6.5 mm diameter,
Necklace 46 cm in length.
Hallmarks: Clasp unmarked - tests as platinum with white gold tongue
