Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring c.1920
An elegant Edwardian sapphire and diamond cluster ring
This stylish ring has a central old cut sapphire surrounded by a border of 8 old cut diamonds in a 'daisy' cluster design.
The sapphire is a bright blue colour and is slightly raised above the diamonds in an 8 claw setting. The diamonds are grain set in a rubover border.
The platinum head is mounted with a gold scalloped under bezel. The ring has 3 small diamonds set to each shoulder with chenier detailing and a plain yellow gold shank.
This lovely ring is low set to the finger, which is typical of the era, and would make a beautiful engagement ring.
