French Dormeuse Old-cut Diamond Earrings c.1910
Dormeuse old-cut diamond earrings, with a small diamond set to the top and a larger old cut diamond in a scalloped cut-back setting giving the illusion of a larger stone to the base. This style is a staple French design and are designed to be left in hence the word 'dormeuse' or 'sleeper.' The earrings have French control marks. Earrings have sprung hook (sleeper) fittings for pierced ears.
