A supersized aquamarine cocktail ring from the 1960's.
This fabulous statement ring has a very large emerald cut aquamarine in an elegant 4 claw mount with integral crossover design. The head of the ring flows into a wide gold band and the ring is open to the reverse letting light into all sides of the aquamarine.
As would be expected with a gemstone of this size the ring sits high on the hand as it is designed to be worn as a statement cocktail ring.
Era: Mid Century: c.1940 - 1960
Measurements: Aquamarine estimated 45 carats.
The head of the ring is 1.9 cm (3/4") in length and 1.6 cm (5/8") in width
