A beautiful heavy weight late Victorian guard chain.
The chain is made in 15ct gold with a very unusal squared 'horseshoe' link. It has a bolt ring to one end and an Albert swivel to the other. There is a makers mark plate to one end for M&M (possibly Murray & Machin) and a 15ct plate to the other.
It is a rich warm yellow gold in colour and in fabulous condition.
The chain is perfect for layering and can be worn extra long, or wound 2 or 3 times around the neck.
