Victorian Diamond Dormeuse Earrings - French c.1890
A pretty pair of late 19th Century diamond earrings.
The sleeper style earrings are French marked for 18ct gold. Each have a small old cut diamond mounted in a raised coronet setting attached to a small gold bead in a typically French design.
The earrings have forward facing sleeper fittings keeping them secure when worn.
They are small and delicate and very unusual to find in this design.
The earrings were probably made originally for a young girl.
