Victorian Pear Shaped Diamond Floral Drop Earrings c.1860
A beautiful statement pair of mid-Victorian diamond earrings.
Each earring has a large pear shaped diamond in a cut-down silver setting suspended from a diamond set 'pansy' design top.
The pear shaped diamonds are estimated as 1 carat each and all the diamonds are in an open back setting allowing the light into the stones. The drops are articulated giving beautiful movement when worn.
The silver setting, typical of the Victorian era gives the earrings a more subtle look (they could be rhodium plated if required for a very bright look but we have left them original).
The earrings have post and butterfly fittings for pierced ears.
