A large Victorian diamond set gold locket.
 
This fabulous piece has an old cut diamond set within a star design to the front with an intricate scrollwork engraved design to the reverse. It is a rich warm yellow gold in colour.
 
Designed to be worn either side the locket is hinged with a compartment inside to hold a photograph (lacking the original frames).
 
The locket is large for the era and in wonderful condition. The locket has a large tapered hinged bail to allow a chain, ribbon or albert to pass through.
 
Era: Victorian, 1837 - 1901
Measurements: Locket 3.9cm long, 3.1cm wide , 11.6 grams in weight.
Bail 1.2cm long.
Diamond estimated 0.10 carat
