Victorian Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring c.1900
An elegant Victorian ruby and diamond cluster ring.
This pretty ring has a central old cut ruby within a border of small diamonds in a finely claw set coronet mount. The ruby is a vivid pinkish red in colour - assessed as Sri Lankan in origin. The ring has 3 slightly graduated diamonds mounted to each shoulder in a spitch setting with a rubover border.
The ring sits very low to the finger typical of the era and has a plain shank.
It would make a beautiful unique engagement ring.
