A late Victorian sapphire and diamond bee pin.

This beautiful little stylised bee has a cabochon sapphire set to the abdomen with a old cut diamond set thorax, ruby eyes and pearl set wings.  The bee unsurprisingly symbolises efficiency and organisation and has been a popular motif in jewellery for generations.

The bee is mounted on a gold stock and is in wonderful conditon.
