Victorian Silver Locket & Collar c.1882
A stylish Victorian 'Aesthetic Movement' silver locket & collar.
This beautful locket has a with raised centre section engraved with ivy tendrils. Lower section with scalopped and swirl engraved details. Reverse with engine turned border.
This fabulous necklace has its original silver collar
There are sections for 2 photographs.
There is a concealed hinge to one side of the locket and a large articulated bail to the top. The locket is in beautiful condition and is incredibly stylish to wear.
The Aesthetic Movement celebrated ‘art for art’s sake,’ separate of any historic motifs or meanings.
Era: Victorian, 1839 - 1901
