Victorian Turquoise & Pearl Heart Brooch c.1890
A pretty late Victorian turquoise and pearl heart brooch.
This lovely brooch has 6 cabochon turquoise stones each set beween a seed pearl shamrock in a heart shaped design. The turquoise would have been used to represent 'forget-me-not' further adding to the romantic nature of this lovely brooch.
The stones are mounted onto a 'knife-edge' designed heart making them look like they are floating when worn. This was a style frequently used in the late 19th and early 20th century and accentuates the skill of the maker and the gemstones used.
This beautiful brooch is in wonderful condition and has its original fitted case by retailers Willow & Gill, Regent Street London.
