The brooch has a simple sprung pin to the reverse, typical of the era.
The renowned jeweller Barnet Henry Joseph (1865-1929) commenced production of wholesale jewels in 1865 in Birmingham and from 1878 opened showrooms in London. BHJ was said to be one of the largest jewellery houses in the trade and supplied to Liberty & Co in London. We believe this is probably a Liberty & Co piece due to the specific 9CT stamp.

Measurements: Total peridot weight estimated 0.60 carats
Brooch is 3.5cm in length, width with peridot drop 3cm, it weighs 2.6 grams
