Edwardian Opal & Diamond Cluster Ring c.1910
An elegant Edwardian opal and diamond ring.
This lovely ring has an oval cabochon opal within a border of old cut diamonds in a classic cluster design. The ring has a smaller old cut diamond to each side within a 'split' openwork shoulder.
The diamonds are all mounted in a fine platinum setting with a milgrain edge and gold back. The ring has a plain shank and has been made for a larger sized finger.
The opal has a beautiful play of fire. The setting is open to the reverse allowing the full beauty of the opal to be displayed.
The ring is very low set to the hand typical of the era.
