A classic graduated double row of cultured (Akoya) pearls with a stylish ruby and diamond target cluster clasp.
 
The clasp has a brilliant cut diamond to the centre surrounded by a row of bright red rubies and an outer border of smaller brilliant cut diamonds all claw set in a slightly domed design.
 
The handmade clasp is made from platinum and gold with a tongue fitting and safety device to the reverse.
 
The pearls are ivory in colour and have a good lustre.
 
Era: Mid Century, c.1940 - 1960
Measurements: Pearls 5.5mm - 9mm diameter,
Necklace 48 cm in length.
Total diamond weight estimated 1 carat
Hallmarks: Unmarked - tests as platinum and 18ct gold
