Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond Plaque Ring c.1910
£2,500.00
A stylish early Edwardian sapphire and diamond tablet ring
This unusual design has two square-cut sapphires to the centre with small diamond accents to each quarter. The sapphires are mounted within a platinum rubover setting with a milgrain edge, and each of the diamonds is grain set within a separate section. The head of the ring has beautiful milgrain detailing to the edge.
The ring has a gold underbezel and is finely made showcasing the skill of the goldsmith who made it.
The ring has plain shoulders onto a plain 18ct gold shank typical of the designs from the early 20th Century. It is very low set, again typical of the era, and sits neatly on the hand when worn.
