Georgian Coral Locket Pendant/Brooch c.1800
NL142
£1,750.00
A wonderful example of a late 18th century Georgian coral locket and pendant.
The pretty locket has a border of twelve beautifully matched round coral cabochons. The orange/red cabochons are finely mounted in claw setting.
Within the border of coral there is a rounded rectangular glazed locket department that opens to the reverse, still with an excellent 'snap' this would be a great place for a keepsake.
The locket hangs from a coral set runner ring, perfect for a chain or ribbon so this lovely locket can be worn as a pendant.
It is engraved in script to the reverse "From Aunt Charlotte"
It is in beautiful condition. There is a later Edwardian safety clasp making it easy for the locket to be worn as a brooch.

Measurements: Locket 2cm in length, 2.4 in width,
Pendant 3.2 cm in length with runner ring
