Regency Emerald Heart Locket circa 1830
£2,750.00
A fabulous late Georgian repoussé puffy heart-shaped pendant.
The pendant is decorated with a raised scrollwork design and centred with a vibrant heart-shaped emerald. The locket has a heart-shaped, curved, glazed compartment to the reverse with a silk liner. The locket has evidence of its original high-carat gilding.
Heart-shaped lockets were popular in the 19th century as symbols of love and personal connection. This is a beautiful and highly decorative example. It has a gold runner ring for a chain or ribbon. It does not have a chain, but we can provide one if required (at an additional charge).
It is in fabulous condition and would be beautiful as a pendant or charm. It is English in origin.
