Victorian Diamond Butterfly Brooch c.1890
An elegant late Victorian butterfly brooch.
The brooch has a rose cut diamond set butterfly mounted on a fine diamond set arrow. The butterfly has small rubies set to the eyes and is fronted in silver on a gold reverse.
The brooch is finely made in silver and gold with a gold 'sprung' pin to the reverse.
Era: Victorian, 1839 - 1901
Measurements: Total diamond weight estimated 0.30 carats.
Brooch is 5.6 cm (2 1/4 inches) in length, 1.8cm (3/4 inch) at widest point,
it weighs 5.1 grams
