Georgian Pearl, Turquoise and Ruby Ring c.1820
RG046
£1,450.00
An elegant Georgian pearl and gemset ring.
The ring has a ruby in a cut-down setting to the centre surrounded with a border of 4 beautifully matched natural half pearls and 4 small turquoise stones all closed to the reverse.
This lovely ring has ornate 'split' shoulders each set with three small seed pearls in a trefoil design emanating from a shell design onto a reeded shank and sits low to the hand. There is a space behind the head where there was originally a locket compartment (sadly long gone).
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and would not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this great condition are increasingly hard to find.
Era: Georgian, 1714 - 1837
Measurements: The head of the ring is 8mm in width
Ring Size: M (UK) 6.5 (US) 53 (EUR)
This ring can be resized by our goldsmith but with limitations due to the design.
Hallmarks: Unmarked - tests as 15ct gold
