Peridot

Peridot is gem-quality olivine, found in volcanic rocks. The name Peridot is believed to come from either the Arabic word faridat meaning gem or the French word peritot meaning unclear. Peridot is one of the few gemstones that comes in only one colour. Peridot symbolizes strength. It is sometimes called the evening emerald for its light green colour.
