An elegant early Edwardian peridot brooch.
The brooch is set with a central trap cut peridot within ruby and pearl set stylised wings. The wings are designed as a fretwork panel of rubies within a graduated seed pearl border. The brooch has an articulated peridot drop which moves beautifully when worn.
The peridots are a good rich green in colour and the brooch is finely made typical of the era.
Era: Art Nouveau, c.1890 - 1915

5.8 grams in weight
