Georgian Pearl and Emerald Ring c.1820
£1,750.00
An elegant Georgian emerald cluster ring.
This lovely ring has a central cushion cut emerald within a border of 8 natural pearls all mounted in a cut-down setting in a classic cluster design. The emerald is foiled to the reverse and all the gemstones are in closed back settings. The ring has beautifully stylised foliate design shoulders onto a slightly tapered reeded shank band.
This lovely ring has its original glazed locket compartment concealed to the back of the head and sits low to the hand typical of the Georgian era. It is in fabulous condition for a ring of this age.
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this condition are increasingly hard to find.
