Victorian Diamond Swallow Stock Pin c.1900
A novelty stock pin with a flying swallow set with rosecut diamonds to the body and outstretched wings. The Swallow has a cabochon ruby eye. The swallow was seen as a symbol of enduring love and loyalty and was a popular subject in jewellery during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. This lovely brooch has a stock pin to the reverse.
