A beautiful Victorian forget-me-not locket.
This wonderful heart shaped locket is enamelled with a red guilloché enamel heart mounted with an old cut diamond set forget me not flower.
The heart has an outer border of white enamel with gold detailing. The enamel heart is in perfect condition.
The pendant has a locket compartment on the reverse, which can be removed to reveal a compartment for a secret keepsake. Romantic jewellery was especially beloved during the Victorian era, and this beautiful piece is a wonderful example of that sentiment.
The pendant is British in origin, made in 15 carat gold and has its original matt gilt finish on the reverse. It could be worn as a charm, but with care due to the enamel finish.
